The journey was not easy either. Had the destination been just 25 miles further - I don't think that they would have made it at all. Not to mention all the hazards they encountered which included construction zones, speed traps, and hoosier truckers that give bad directions! But when it was all over, I gazed - much to my disbelief - upon my wonderful family from afar.
The caravan consisted of my sister Kathy (The Strangler), Dawna and her two children Natalie & Nicholas. I have to admit they were very tolerant of the conditions here in Chicago - the crazy weather, crazy drivers, and of course - Chicago's construction season. "Ahhh... Look honey, their putting up the barricades! Summer must be just around the corner." All in all, I think it fair to say that nothing could possibly dampen my spirits 'cept the passing of time and the subsequent departure of these people I love so dearly
Some of the places we dined included The Patio®, The China Buffet®, Bennigan's®, and of course Chris' Cajun Café. Places they visited included: Navy Pier, Sears Tower and The Museum of Science & Industry.
Y'all come back now... hear?
